ABOUT MAREK
Hey it's nice to meet you.
I'm glad you are here.
It makes sense that you want to know more about me.
My path here hasn't been straight.
It's taken many different directions and yet here I am.
I've gone from studying computer science to working in construction and never truly understanding myself and what made me go in these directions.
I went back to school, did my personal work to figure out who I am and how I got here and worked through my addictions which is how I know I can help you or your loved ones as well.
I currently spend time volunteering with the Red Cross and Search and Rescue.
I am a member of BCACC and the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation.
Currently pursing my Master's in Counselling and CISM certification .

ABOUT NORTHMARK

Northmark began with the idea of direction.
Perhaps that comes partly from my love of the outdoors and the importance of knowing how to use a compass when the path is unclear.
Perhaps it also comes from knowing what it is like to spend a long time without a strong sense of focus or direction—unless I happened to be working on the roof of a high-rise building.
For a long time, I knew I was capable of more, but I was not always satisfied or fulfilled by the direction my life was taking.
I wanted something solid: a name, a purpose, and a way of working that people could trust.
When I heard the name Northmark, something clicked into place.
The word north represents orientation, direction, and having something steady to navigate by when you are unsure where you are.
The word mark is partly a personal play on my own name, but it means something more to me as well.
It reflects the desire to make a meaningful mark—to build a life that matters, choose a direction with purpose, and leave something worthwhile behind.
Once the name was there, the rest began to flow: the landscape, the pathway, and the natural colours connected to the land I love.
Northmark Counselling was created to help you connect the dots, understand where you are, find your path, and begin choosing your own direction.
Not someone else’s version of your life.
Yours.
